I bought a pair of Redodo 100-Ah batteries in December 2022 for my teardrop trailer solar electric system upgrade project and I just ordered a Redodo 50-Ah battery in February 2023 for a portable ham radio system.
I replaced an OEM 80-Ah deep cycle lead acid battery with a pair of 100-Ah Redodo LiFePO4 batteries as the heart of the solar electric system for my TAB 320S teardrop trailer. I have 500 watts of solar panels charging the 2 Redodo 100-Ah lithium (LiFePO4) batteries using 2 Victron charge controllers (a Victron 75V/10A MPPT smart solar charger for the 100-watt OEM panel and a Victron 100V/30A MPPT smart solar charger for a pair of 200-watt flexible solar panels).
Some things I want to comment about:
- With a lead acid battery, you can’t safely discharge them below 50% without shortening the life of the battery. That means my OEM 80-Ah lead acid battery had about 40-Ah of usable capacity. With the Redodo lithium LiFePO4 battery you can use 99% of the battery capacity without significantly shortening the life of the battery. So I increased my usable battery capacity from 40 Ah to 198 Ah, which leads to my second point, the weight.
- My OEM deep cycle lead acid battery with a usable capacity of 40-Ah weighed 48 pounds, about the same weight of the 2 Redodo lithium LiFePO4 batteries with 198 Ah of usable battery capacity. The pair of 100-Ah Redodo batteries give me about 5 times the capacity for the same amount of weight!
- Great Product Manual! I was very pleased with the 23-page product manual, written in plain English and complete with drawings and diagrams. Before you do anything with your new Redodo battery, read the product manual carefully and follow their instructions to the letter. I can’t tell you how many times I have referred back to the product manual. It’s a great resource!
- I designed and built my system myself after watching tons of YouTube videos. I found the most useful website and YouTube channel for my needs to be explorist.life but there were many others that were useful too.
I just can’t justify paying high prices for name brand lithium (LiFePO4) batteries when batteries like Redodo perform quite well for a fraction of the cost.

Features of Redodo LiFePO4 Batteries
Redodo's batteries are powerful, long-lasting and best budget.
Grade-A Cell
All of Redodo's batteries are made of grade-A LiFePO4 cells, which has passed the UL test, ensuring the highest level of safety and performance. These cells have a longer cycle life compared to other lithium batteries, making them ideal for long-term use. The life cycle of Redodo's batteries is 4000-15000, the lifespan of the batteries can up to 10 years.
High Energy Density
Redodo batteries offer a high energy density, meaning they can store more energy in a compact size. This is particularly important for solar systems where space may be limited. With higher energy density, Redodo batteries can provide longer backup power during blackouts and maximize the use of solar energy.
Advanced Management System
Redodo batteries are equipped with an advanced management system that ensures efficient charging and discharging and avoid over-charging, over-discharging, short-circuit, over-currtent and high temperature. This system helps optimize the battery's performance, prolongs its lifespan.
Competitive Pricing
Redodo is committed to providing affordable lithium batteries without compromising on quality. We have created a business model that allows us to offer the batteries at a competitive price, making it more accessible for homeowners to add battery backup to their solar systems. One Redodo 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 battery sales only $599.99, while other brands can be more than $800.
