Level Up Our Van Life: Installing the Redodo 200Ah LiFePO4 Powerhouse in Our Ram ProMaster!

The day has finally arrived! After weeks of anticipation, our brand new Redodo 12V 200Ah Plus LiFePO4 battery has landed, and let me tell you, the off-grid possibilities dancing in my head are getting more vivid by the minute. For those following our 2021 Dodge Ram ProMaster camper conversion journey, you know that a reliable and robust power system is absolutely crucial. This Redodo battery feels like the missing piece of the puzzle, the key to unlocking true freedom on the road.

But the excitement didn't stop at just opening the box. We were itching to see what this powerhouse could really do. So, naturally, we put it through its paces! We created a video where we rigorously tested the 12.8V Redodo 200Ah battery with various battery chargers, our inverter, and even some of our essential van life appliances. Could it handle the demands of our blender? What about charging our laptops and running lights for extended periods?

Our Redodo battery blender test provides a tangible example of its real-world capacity and ability to handle common van life appliances. After several blending cycles, totaling 20 minutes, our Redodo 200Ah battery consumed approximately 8 Ah. The voltage remained consistently above 12.6V throughout most of the test, only dipping slightly during the blending operation. This indicates the battery’s ability to handle the initial surge of power required by the blender.

This experiment helps us understand the battery’s capabilities and plan our power usage effectively. Based on our experience, the Redodo 200Ah Plus 12V LiFePO4 battery has proven to be a capable power source for our van life setup, comfortably handling the demands of a blender and other energy-intensive appliances, thanks to its built-in 200A BMS and reliable performance.
